Your contribution during our Year-End Fundraiser strengthens the open source foundations of cutting-edge technological advancement. In addition to bolstering critical infrastructure and operational services, NumFOCUS also uses funds from donations and sponsorships to support our projects’ user and developer communities. These programs include our Small Development Grants and our community engagement efforts through PyData and our Contributor Diversification and Retention research.

Our community continues to believe in NumFOCUS. More than two-thirds of respondents to our 2021 Community Survey either agreed or strongly agreed that donating to NumFOCUS is a good way to support our Sponsored and Affiliated Projects, and nearly 90% believed that corporate users of our open-source tools should be sponsoring us.
We believe that Diverse and Inclusive is the best path toward Open and Accessible. Over the past year, we’ve worked with our Projects through our Contributor Diversification and Retention research program to investigate and identify the barriers to entry for contributors from underrepresented backgrounds.
