Google Summer of Code with NumFOCUS
Google Summer of Code (GSoC) sponsors students to work full-time for 3 months on open source projects during the summer (in the northern hemisphere), supervised by a senior contributor from the mentoring organization. Google Summer of Code students frequently go on to become active contributors and core maintainers of our projects.NumFOCUS & Google Summer of Code
NumFOCUS is proud to serve as an umbrella organization for Google Summer of Code (GSoC), helping connect aspiring open-source contributors with our diverse ecosystem of scientific computing projects.
Each year, multiple NumFOCUS-sponsored and affiliated projects participate in GSoC, mentoring contributors as they work on meaningful open-source improvements.
